About the Junior Section From small beginnings in just May 2006 we have now established a flourishing Junior Section at the Club catering for players from ages 8-16. This year we will have teams playing at U12, U14 and U16. Our U12 and U14 teams are open to both boys and girls and our U16 team just to boys. However, with the Club currently amalgamating with Purley Ladies lacrosse Club we will now also be able to offer an opportunity for girls aged 13+ to play womens lacrosse, and are looking to introduce a girls only training session. The primary aim of our Junior Section is to introduce the game of lacrosse to any child aged 8 to 16 years old who wants to play. We intend to achieve this in a structured, safe and enjoyable environment of coaching and match experience involving all players with total equality. During 2006/07 our inaugural-season we ran two teams at U12 and U16 who played matches against other junior clubs in the south-east, as well as in a number of tournaments. The highlights of the season were: U12s National U12 Championships 5th place U16sSEMLA Flags Tournament Runners up Coldwell Cup ChampionsThe 2007/08 season starts in September and will see all three teams competing in a full schedule of league fixtures and tournaments.
